FC Barcelona have not had the greatest summer transfer window so far. Although they have brought in the likes of Joan Garcia from Espanyol and the talented Roony Bardghji from Copenhagen, there is still a lot of work for them to do.
For starters, the left-wing is a position that needs a new option, especially with Ansu Fati leaving for AS Monaco. Although Barcelona could eventually end up promoting someone from La Masia, it is important to identify who it is before the new season begins.
Now, as per Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona don’t just want to stop with signing Roony Bardghji this summer and have also set their sights on his young brother, Rayan Bardghji, who is also touted to be a huge talent.
Rayan Bardghji to Barcelona?
The 15-year-old is still playing at Copenhagen, but his contract expires soon, and many clubs are keen on signing him. Meanwhile, the Swedish club is also looking to get him to commit to a new deal, but Roony’s presence could tilt him towards Barcelona.
As described by Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, the Scandinavian wonderkid is “Fast, skillful both in tight spaces and at top speed, mobile, and unpredictable – a brilliant blend of creative winger and inside forward, much like his idol Eden Hazard.”
At just 15, some people tout him to be an even bigger talent than Roony, which is quite a feat considering how highly his elder brother was rated when he was coming up through the Copenhagen academy.
Can Barcelona convince him?
One major thing that could convince Barcelona to go down this road is the fact that he would be a developmental left-winger with a very high ceiling. It could go down as one of the best business decisions in recent times.
It remains to be seen if Barcelona manage to convince Rayan Bardghji to join his brother at the Catalan club. With so much interest in the teenager, it might not be an easy deal, and let’s wait and see how things play out on this front.
